Genesis 3:
6 And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat and gave also unto her with her; and he did
God’s desire to express himself in creation through His dwelling in man is on course. This is the ultimate glory of God – and the ultimate wisdom of man is to be led by God Himself through the labyrinth of the new world just put in place by Him. Although not stated in the passage, the newly birthed world has a lurking enemy – because of man and his privileged position and relationship (both now and forever) with Lord God. But man spotted another glory, a type of wisdom that glows and falls for it, believing and accepting as true the teachings of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. Even every one that is called by my name, for I have created him for my glory, I have formed him, yea, I have made him (Isaiah 43:7). The body language of God concerning the man was: *I have created him. He belongs to me and I belong to him. He and I are one.” When the Lord Jesus Christ appears millennials later and says that “I and My Father are one”, the world nearly caves in because this primal divine thought in relation to man is openly stated by the Last Adam. The first plan is lifted higher and higher, far above what can be overcome The plan changed when the female Adam rejected the wisdom of God and rather stretched her hand for a warm embrace of the apparent wisdom seen in the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. The new plan is that God’s original thought stands. God will become man and, as man, will defeat the deceiver, and yet go on to achieve His thought. And without controversy, great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles (the nations, believed on in the world, received up unto glory (1 Timothy 3:16). This involves grace, redemption, sanctification and justification. It’s a quick work. In the first course, man was created and was being nurtured to the place of maturity, MANHOOD; in this last course, man is first indwelt by God (the Holy Spirit) through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and nurtured on to MANHOOD, the mature man, on the way to the measure of stature of the fullness of Christ. He’s coming to the full nature of his Creator as witnessed in the Lord Jesus Christ. This is God’s wisdom. Oh, the depth of the riches of both the wisdom and knowledge of God!
Man is not wrong to desire wisdom. Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom,; and with all thy getting get understanding (Proverbs 4:7). But the female Adam buys into the wrong wisdom which portends danger: this is wisdom that is in every way anti-God and of another nature. It’s an alluring wisdom that dazzles and leads away from God Himself. The other tree which is of Life leads man into the embracing arms of God, into the enlightening of the heart to seeing God’s inheritance in man.. God has a glorious inheritance in His saints – the believer is expected to be aware of this and be riveted to it. The eyes of your understanding being enlightened that ye may be able to know what is the hope of his calling and what the riches of the glory of his ingeritance in the saints Ephesians 1:18). This is godly wisdom!
The anti-God wisdom as a person has been directing the affairs of the world since man yielded the lordship to him – all through the many millennials. His goal is, like God’s, to indwell man and give full expression to himself. And, oh, isn’t this wisdom amazing in all facets! Think about the philosophies that govern the earth; their evolvement! Man’s creations have made him completely independent of God. His science and technology – answers to almost everything people used to look up to God for. In the recent time, man has been able to develop a microorganism from only chemicals – and it exhibits life. Think about its economic throw up, its manufacture, the glorious present, the redefinition of all that used to be human life!
But the tree of Life is unperturbed. The tree which is a person has His own flavour and ever radiating light. The silent but ever growing job of redeeming man, the foundation having been laid, is continuing and prospering. Nations are coming into the light and healing of His kingdom. His entire reaches and riches cannot now and ever be fathomed. God’s salvation is God’s wisdom.
Because of this unfathomable depth of wisdom there are always needs for revelations.. A little revelation from Him, the believer thinks he’s got the whole wisdom encapsulated and well strung together. And he begins to pursue the little light, mistaking the part for the whole. This tendency has plagued the Church for the past two millennials. Beloved, now are we sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is (1 John 3:2).
Precious Father, we pray and receive Your own wisdom; Your way is wisdom. It spells of faith-rest in God and His word; Your wisdom is often in search of and for You – pleasing and walking worthy of You unto all pleasing and perfecting holiness in the fear of You. Thank You Lord for granting us this
Thank You, Lord
