Genesis 1:

In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth

The bible is not a science textbook and doesn’t pretend to be one. It’s primarily concerned with the divine vision and its relation to man. In it are hidden gems of the Truth of existence; it’s a revelation of what God wants man to know for now about the universe and tomorrow. And, Thou, Lord, in the beginning hast laid the foundation of the earth, and the heavens are the works of thine hands. They will all grow old and pass away but the Lord, the Creator remains. He’s without a beginning and is without an end (Hebrews 1:10).. …. Before the mountains were brought forth; or ever thou hadst formed the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God (Psalm 90:2).

When the Lord God stirred from his timeless eternity which was exclusively His, time, energy, space and mass were the result. Before the creation of the earth was the universe! Perhaps, before the universe were the sons of God or it could be the other way. Which ever is the truth, what we know is that the sons of God were witnesses of the creation of the earth – and they were thrilled as they watched from space at the newly formed object of marvel called the earth coming in space. God once asked Job, “Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth?…. Who hath laid the measure thereof… When the morning stars sang for together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy? (Job 38:4-7). By way of helpful digression: the morning stars were not nebulae but created beings existing before the earth ever was; the sons of God, by Hebrew poetic device, parallels (has the same meaning here) with the former, the sons of God.

The Awesome Galaxies

The Lord God had certainly created the universe before positioning the earth in the Milky Way galaxy. There are presently more than ten billion observable galaxies well arranged in neat, unhaphazard, groups called clusters in space. The earth is in one of these galactic clusters called the Milky Way; the planet earth’s solar system of and its moon; the other planets with their moons constitute a very tiny part of the Milky Way galaxy.

Galaxy – what is it?

A galaxy is a group of stars, gas, and other material rotating around a central nucleus. There is, for example, the Milky Way galaxy which contains more than 100 billion stars, each of them many times bigger than the Earth’s sun (the sun is also a star). The Milky Way galaxy where the earth is just the beginning of the outer space containing over ten billion observable galaxies. In the Milky Way, too, there are about twenty clusters. The diameter of this galaxy is about 100,000 light years apart ( one light year is about 9.5 trillion kilometre). In a cluster, the distance of one galaxy to the other is about a million light years while a cluster of galaxies to another is a hundred times as much. It’s significant to know that if an event occurs in the Andromeda Galaxy, a neighbour to the  Milky Way, it’ll take many trillions of years before the report is received on earth. Yet this is what in the spirit becomes known in thousandths of a second. Allelujah!

What the scientists refer to as galaxies I like to call the heavens. For the spirit man, there shouldn’t be any distance between the earth and heaven at all. The Lord Jesus Christ exemplified this. He was here and was in heaven at the same time.

Man as Primary in Existence

When the Lord God took it in his hand then to create the earth in space, it’s for the purpose of man. The planets in the inter and intra galactic are influenced to be in their orbits in space by gravitational pulls on one another. All this because of man. And man, for the Lord Jesus Christ. For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that ate in, visible, and invisible, whether they be thrones or dominions or principalities, or powers; all things were created by him, and for him (Colossians 1:16). This is not all but also  that Christ is all, and in all (Colossians 3:11). And just as in the Lord Jesus Christ, so also in His brethren for in him dwelleth all the fullness of the godhead bodily (Colossians 2:9).

Awesome!

I’m a creature of divine purpose

Just see! The structures of the universe are because of me, I mean because of man, any willing man that will follow the Lord Jesus Christ.

There’s nothing as awesome as to be in the mind of the Lord God.

I’m of most primary importance in the universe – just as Christ for whom and by whom all things were created including the heavens.

The Godhead dwells in me by the device that cannot be controverted, having been God, in order to perfect his original plan of God living in man, the Lord Jesus Christ was manifest in the flesh (for me – how important I am), was justified in the spirit (so that though He is the the Just One, yet He nevertheless justifies the sinner, me), seen of angels (of them in the heavenlies to beyond the heavens), preached to the nations, believed on in the world and received to glory.

Awesome to be indwelt by the God essence and be of primary importance in the whole universe!

Thank You, Lord, for this
