John 3:

3 In reply Jesus declared, “I tell you the truth, no-one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again.”

A Jewish leader visited Jesus Christ at night wanting to inquire more about Him. He started with a compliment: “You’re,” he began, “certainly from God, going by these miracles of yours which are possible only for those with whom God is.” The Lord answered him with the above, the born again principle of entering the kingdom of God. The subject of the kingdom of God was on the front burner of the Jews consciousness at this time. They were expecting the coming of the dormain of God. Yet, they were unable to give definition to this dormain of God. It looked vague. Perhaps, what seemed to be definable about it was that in the kingdom of God, they’d would be completely free of the oppression of their Roman influence and lordship over them. (as he said through his holy prophets of long ago), salvation from our enemies and from the hand of all who hate us – to show mercy to our fathers and remember his holy covenant, the oath he swore to our father Abraham, to rescue us from the hand of our enemies and to enable us to serve him without fear...(Luke 1:70-74). Perhaps, these were burning questions in Nicodemus, the nightly visitor to Christ. The declaration of the Lord Jesus to him was the answer to his yet unspoken question: Seeing the kingdom was by being born again! This was not clear enough to the visitor. Yet, the Lord went on to harp on it, highlighting the answer.

We will have to return to the beginning of time to get a glimpse into this thought that is the gate of LIFE. In the creation of Adam and Eve, their primordial journey was to click in Eternal Life  through immortality. Eternal Life is the type of the life of God. Now, there is the life of animal, there is the life of different creatures, there’s the life of God, the divine life. This life of God is the end of life-journey of man. This Life is the indwelling of God in the Man. It’s a righteous life identified with God – not righteous life as defined by the natural man, but as it’s defined by God: the righteous life of the complete or perfect Man, a being in whom God could dwell.  This type of life was impossible to obtain since the fall of the first Eden man. Yet God must dwell in man so that He could give expression to Him in his physical being in earth. The complete Man is the REST of God. The physical temples and other edifices are not the place of the REST of God. The Man is the righteous man habitable for the Creator. No man came near this definition, not even men declared as being righteous in the Scripture. Talk of Job, Abraham, Simon and so on. Their perfect righteousness had to await the days – on earth – of the Man Christ, Who was God that became man, and then the Man. God had planned something better for us that only together with us would they be made perfect (Hebrews 11:40).  The they here points to the old testament righteous. This passage requires a little break down. God had a plan in creation. The plan was that Man in full or complete was His place of rest. But no man came or could come close to this standard, including the Scripture-declared righteous ones, the prophets, David, Abraham, Simon… Then came Christ, the God that became Man to answer to this for man through His incarnate, death and resurrection! God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God (2 Corinthians 5:21). Christ’s life was exchanged for us. Now, by this Divine intervention, the righteousness of God and for God has come to man, given to man.

The natural man that cannot become God’s own – that cannot bear the weight of His glory, the righteousness that is His –  goes by the tag of the Race of Adam. This race, no matter how devout he is cannot attain to this status of righteousness that is God’s. God gave the race of Israel – excrated from the race of Adam, the law that could bring it close to God but it didn’t work. …. For if a law had been given that could impact life, then righteousness would certainly have come by the law (Galatians 3:21). But this law eventually failed to bring righteousness of God. The DNA of the Adam race is steeped in sin, unrighteousness, and cannot come to life of God.

Let’s look at DNA. It has the entire template-script of the personality. It cannot be changed, though it can undergo mutation. This life is rigidly against God. It’s strange to the life of God and cannot come to the life of God.

In the event of the intervention of Christ through His vicarious living and death, His own righteousness is imputed to that of man as an exchange of lives to become Man. God’s Son in the likeness of sinful man, became sin offering, and so condemned sin in the sinful man in order that the righteous requirement of the law might be fully met in us…( Refer, Romans 8:3-4). Just like scintists are tampering with the DNA today to create strange animals and beings never before known in nature, so is what is being born again. It’s the coming to life of God through Jesus Christ. It’s a new life compatible with that of God.

This is the new life, Therefore, if any man is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come (2 Corinthians 5:17). It’s another and entirely new race of people, capable of  living a life impossible for the old

This is the race of Jesus Christ
